What we look for

18+ with reliable transportation to job sites across Greater Austin
Ability to pass a background check
1+ year of residential or commercial cleaning experience preferred
Registered as an independent contractor (or willing to register) with a W-9
General liability insurance, or willingness to obtain coverage
Clear communication by phone or text and dependable, on-time arrival

Contractor agreement template

Here's exactly what our independent contractor agreement covers, so there are no surprises before you sign.

Engagement: Independent contractor relationship — not employment. You control how the work is performed within the client's scope.
Scope of work: Per-job checklists for routine, deep, move-in/out, vacation rental, commercial, post-construction, and post-event cleans.
Compensation: Flat rate per completed job, agreed before acceptance. Invoices submitted weekly; payment issued within 7 days.
Supplies & equipment: Contractor supplies standard equipment; She Means Clean Co provides approved eco-friendly product specs and specialty items.
Insurance & taxes: Contractor maintains liability coverage and is responsible for their own taxes (Form 1099-NEC issued annually).
Quality & conduct: Photo-verified checklists, client confidentiality, and a 24-hour response window on any callback.
Scheduling: Jobs offered by text; accept or decline freely. 24-hour notice requested for cancellations.
Term: Ongoing, cancellable by either party with written notice. Non-solicitation of clients for 12 months.
